Day 2 Albania and Tirana - Today's included excursion takes us to Tirana, the capital of Albania, a country that is now starting to open up to the world. You can take a cable car to mount Dajta (1300m) for beautiful panoramic views. Enjoy our included sightseeing tour of Tirana, to reveal the charms of this intriguing city. (B,D)
Day 3 Montenegro Tour - Discover the natural beauty of Montenegro's coastline and countryside on our optional excursion. We head by boat to the island of 'Our Lady' which provides a great photo opportunity, then visit the old town of Kotor. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor a UNESCO listed World Natural and Historical Site. The entire city is criss-crossed with narrow streets and squares. Byron judged this part of the coast as 'the most beautiful encounter betweem land and sea'. (B,D)
Day 4 Cavtat - We leave Montenegro and visit Cavtat en route to Dubrovnik, for a four-nights stay. (B,D)
Day 5 Dubrovnik - Enjoy a day at leisure in the place that has been called 'the most perfectly preserved medieval town in the world'. The beautiful old town is a joy to explore. Take a walk along the stone ramparts of the city for the best views. Our optional guided city tour of Dubrovnik, described as 'Paradise on Earth' will show the main highlights. (B,D)
Day 6 Mostar - Join our optional excursion to Mostar. The bridge (Stari Most) built accross the river, which became a symbol of the city and was totally destroyed during the Croatia-Bosnia conflict in the early 1990's, has since been rebuilt and now represents a symbol of unity. (B,D)
Day 7 Korkula - Enjoy an optional excursion by coach and boat to the island of Korcula, rich in fascinating historical influences, including the Greeks, Venetians and Turks. Lying on a small peninsula surrounded by city walls and fortresses, Korcula Town is one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the Adriatic Coast (people call it 'Little Dubrovnik' because of its squares, churches, palaces and houses).
