Excursions and visits
Salzburg (included); Sightseeing Tour (optional). One of the most beautiful cities in Europe, the ‘Sound of Music’ city has something for everyone. Enchanting squares and medieval lanes give way to Gothic churches and quaint cafés. Mozart’s birthplace museum is a must! On our optional guided sightseeing tour, you will see the splendid Baroque cathedral, the mighty Hohensalzburg Fortress and the quaint Getreidegasse, one of Austria’s most beautiful shopping streets.
Kufstein and Swarovski Crystal World (optional). To Kufstein, home to a major fortress, a jewel in the lower region of the Tyrol. Then on to Swarovski Crystal World at Wattens. Swarovski is considered by many to be the finest lead crystal made today. See the exhibition and perhaps treat yourself or buy some presents.
Ziller Valley Railway (optional). We board the scenic Ziller Valley Railway to ride from Jenbach to the popular resort of Mayrhofen. After lunch at a typical Austrian Inn, we then head to the Rattenberg glass factory for a demonstration of glassblowing, glasscarving and painting. We also learn about candle-making at the Brixlegg workshops.
Zell am See & Kitzbühel (included); Horse and Carriage Ride (optional). Stroll along the lakeside promenade of Lake Zell and enjoy the contrasting spectacular scenery of lakes and mountains. Later, visit the chic ski resort town of Kitzbühel. Explore the walled Old Town and enjoy an optional horse and carriage ride.

Your hotels
You will stay in the Austrian Tirol for five nights in a 3-star hotel, such as the Gasthof Ascherwirt in Brandenberg. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms have a T.V. and telephone.

En route overnight stays in Belgium are in city-style hotels.
