Excursions and visits
Annecy and drive around Lake Annecy (included). In the morning, relax amidst your new  surroundings. With its bridges, canals and medieval atmosphere, Annecy is reminiscent of Venice. Explore the lovely Old Town with its attractive buildings and interesting walkways. In the afternoon, we take a scenic drive alongside Lake Annecy and return through the mountains to the east of the lake.
Chamonix and Mont Blanc Country (included). A full day through the mountains to the international resort of Chamonix. Shadowed by Europe’s highest summit, Mont Blanc, Chamonix is the cradle of mountaineering history, a town rich in tradition and local colour, as well as outstanding attractions. We can ride the romantic red cog-wheel train of Montenvers and see the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), France’s largest glacier. We recommend the Aiguille du Midi cable car, one of the highest in the world at a height of 3842m, offering incredible close-up views of Mont Blanc’s world of rock and ice (train and cable car rides are at extra cost and subject to availability).
Geneva and Yvoire (optional). Enjoy an excursion to the lakeside city of Geneva – and a chance to see the famous sights, including the Jet d’Eau and the Reformation Monument. There’s free time to soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere of this fascinating city and explore the many smart shops (including the famous Swiss watches). We also visit the charming lakeside village of Yvoire.

Your hotels
You’ll stay for four nights at the 2-star Comfort Hotel Mandallaz in Annecy, a 30-minute walk from the old centre of the town and Lac d’Annecy. The hotel has a lounge/bar and lift. Evening meals are taken in a nearby restaurant, only a short stroll from the hotel. All bedrooms have cable T.V., telephone, courtesy tray, hairdryer, air-conditioning and safety box. Overnight stays in the Paris area are in city-style hotels.
