Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to Caen for a three or four-night stay.
Day 2 Deauville, Trouville and Hornfleur - Included excursion exploring the beautiful Normandy coastline. First we visit  Deauville and Trouville, both favourite seaside resorts for the Parisians. Deauville is the more glamorous, with its casinos and yachting harbour. Trouville's charm is its long beach, lined by beautiful buildings and its working fishing port. We then continue to Hornfleur, renowned for its old, beautiful harbour area, characterised by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including Gustave Courbet and Claude Monet. (B)
Day 3 Rouen - Enjoy our included excursion to Rouen with its fine half-timbered buildings in the Old Town. See Notre Dame Cathedral with its splendid Butter Tower, immortalised in paintings by Claude Monet. Take a stroll to admire the famous Gros Horloge, a huge astronomical clock dating back to the 16th century and, in the centre of the Old Market Square stands the church of St. Joan of Arc, whose design represents the pyre on which Joan perished in 1431. (B)
Day 4 (5 day tour only) St. Malo - Optional full-day excursion to the fortified town of St. Malo, with its huge ramparts and city walls, which you can walk around. Explore the old centre and the maze of narrow, cobbled streets, stepped in history, and perhaps try one of the famous crepes. We also visit the pretty medieval town of Dinan with its picturesque half timbered medieval buildings. (B)
Day 4 (4 day tour) or Day 5 (5 day tour) - To Calais then return home. (B)

Your hotel
You’ll stay for three or four nights at either the 2-star Kyriad Caen Sud IFS or the 2-star Hotel Carline Caen Nord, both  situated on the outskirts of the town. Both hotels have a bar and restaurant, and the Carline has a lift. The Kyriad has no lift - rooms are only on two floors. All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
