Between 6.30pm and 10.00pm every night whilst in Austria, drinks are included in the hotel bar from a selection of draught beer, table wine and soft drinks.

Excursions and visits
Innsbruck (included). Innsbruck came to prominence in the 15th century, when the Emperor Maximilian based his imperial court here. Many fine buildings are a testament to the city’s regal past, including the famous Golden Roof and the Hofburg Palace, whilst Maria Theresien Street is also a must. Our optional sightseeing tour (included on Silver Service) takes in these famous sights. We’ll also see the Olympic Ice Stadium, the Berg Isel ski jump and the interior of the Wilten Basilica, said to be the most beautiful church of its kind in the Tirol.
Zell am See, the Giselbahn and Kitzbühel (optional). Stroll along the lakeside promenade of Lake Zell and enjoy the contrasting scenery of lakes and mountains. Later, travel on the romantic, old Giselbahn* train to visit the chic ski resort town of Kitzbühel. Stroll around the walled Old Town or maybe take a cable car ride (optional) up the mighty Hahnenkamm Mountain for some amazing views.
Salzburg (included). One of the most beautiful cities in Austria, Salzburg offers lovely squares and medieval lanes, Gothic churches and quaint cafés. It is also famed as the setting for ‘The Sound of Music’. An optional guided walking sightseeing tour is a wonderful way to discover this city, with sights featured in the film, along with many other attractions.
St. Johann and Berchesdagen (included). Eagle's Nest (optional). Through the picturesque resort of Sankt Johann in Tyrol to cross the border into Germany to visit Berchesgaden in a superb setting in the Bavarian Alps.  Why not join a visit to the Eagle's Nest, dramatically perched on a mountain top, the famed location of Hitler's alpine hideaway.
Achensee & the Ziller Valley (optional). We travel to Lake Achensee, and spend the morning exploring the alpine surroundings, before continuing to the alpine resort of Mayrhofen, nestled at the end of the Ziller Valley.

*Please note: On May 14, September 26 and October 17 departures, travel between Zell-am-See and Kitzbuhel will be by coach as the Giselbahn will not be operating.

Your hotels
You’ll stay for six nights at the 3-star Gasthof Ascherwirt in Brandenberg in the Austrian Tirol. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and a lift, and all bedrooms have T.V. and telephone.
