Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach, then onwards to northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Continue south to Giswil in Switzerland for a six-night stay. (B,D)
Day 3 Lucerne, Pilatusbahn Railway and Cable Car - Included visit to Lucerne with its stunning lakeside setting surrounded by picturesque mountain scenery. Take an optional ride on the Pilatusbahn, the world’s steepest cog railway for spectacular views before returning by cable car. (B,D)
Day 4 Jungfrau Region Railway - Included excursion to Lauterbrunnen for an exciting ride on the Jungfraubahn Region Railway with superb views of the north face of the Eiger, and the Monch and Jungfrau mountains. We pause at the Kleine Scheidegg before continiung by train to the Alpine village of  Grindelwald with time for sightseeing. (B,D)
Day 5 Swiss Glacier Express - Today's optional excursion ia a wonderful train ride on the famous Swiss Glacier Express. We drive to Andermatt to join the train from Andermatt to Chur. Riding the ‘slowest express train in the world’, we climb through unforgettable scenery to the summit of the Oberalp Massif. Return by coach from Chur to our hotel. In order to guarantee you place on the train, this trip must be purchased at the time of booking at a cost of £67 per person. (B,D)
Day 6 Brienz and Interlaken - Today's optional excursion (included on Silver Service) takes us into the superb lakeland scenery en route to Brienz, where time almost seems to have stood still. In the afternoon we visit Interlaken, situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz and at the foot of the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, Monch and the Jungfrau. (B,D)
Day 7 Reichenbach Falls and Meiringen - Included visit to Meiringen were we take the Reichenhach Falls Funicular Railway up to see the dramatic falls, where, according to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty fought out their deadly battle. (B,D)
Day 8 Paris Latin Quarter - To the Paris area for an overnight stay. In the evening join our optional visit to the lively Latin Quarter in the centre of Paris. (B)
Day 9 To Calais, then return home. (B)

Your hotels
You’ll stay for six nights at the 3-star Hotel Krone situated in Giswil, Switzerland.  The hotel has a bar, restaurant and lift. The reception, restaurant, bar and some bedrooms are loctaed in the main hotel, whilst the majority of the accommodation is in two separate buildings 40 metres away (where there is no lift). All bedrooms have T.V. and telephone. 
Overnight stays in northern France and Paris area are in city-style hotels.
