5 day holiday itinerary
Day 1 Travel to Rhine Valley for a four-night stay.
Day 2 Rudeshiem - Included visit to the picturesque riverside 'wine town' of Rudesheim. Explore the lively Drosslegasse, a narrow street with cosy cafes, shops and bars. In the afternoon, join our optional sightseeing drive by little road train, which includes a visit to Siegfried's Mechanical Music Museum, with its fascinating self-playing musical instruments. (B,D)
Day 3 Cochem and the Moselle Valley - Today's optional excursion begins at Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, then continue along the gentle Moselle Valley to charming Cochem. Later enjoy an optional winetasting at the House of Anton Hammes in Alken, where you can take a tour through the cellars full of fine vintages, with the chance to sample and buy.  (B,D)
Day 4 Rhine Valley - Full-day included excursion along the rhine Valley. Marvel at the superb medieval castles and vineyards; the world-famous Loreley Rock; Boppard, with its splendid Rhine Promenade; and St. Goar, home to the world's largest cuckoo clock shop. The perfect way to view the Rhine is from the wate on our optional river through the Rhine Gorge, famous for its picturesque villages, vine-clad slopes and many ancient castles (Kaub, Cat and Mouse, to name a few). (B,D)
Day 5 To Calais, then return home. (B)

Day 1 Local departure by coach then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Cologne - We head to Cologne. Its Old Town is a haven with welcoming bars, restaurants and excellent shopping, You'll be inspired by the magnificent Dom, the gothic cathedral, which dominates this fine city. We continue through the Rhine Gorge to reach Assmannshausen for a five-night stay. (B,D)
Day 3 Rudeshiem - As per day two of 5-day holiday. (B,D)
Day 4 Cochem and the Moselle Valley - As per day three of 5-day holdiay. (B,D)
Day 5 Rhine Valley - As per day four of 5-day holiday. (B,D)
Day 6 Heidelberg - Optional excursion to the beautiful town of Heidelberg. Visit Heidelberg Castle, one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in Germany with spectacular views over the city. Explore the charming Old Town with its maze of little streets and the bustling Hauptstrasse with its excellent shops. (B,D)
Day 7 To Calais, then return home. (B)

Your hotel
You’ll stay for four nights at the well-appointed, traditional 3-star Hotel Alte Bauernschanke, or similar, in charming Assmannshausen in the Rhine Valley. The hotel, owned by the Berg family who have been welcoming Leger guests for many years, is typically "Rhineland" in style, with an atmosphere to match, and the original building is over 600 years old. The hotel provides entertainment most evenings. There's a lift, restaurant and large bar area.  All bedrooms have T.V., telephone and safe. The hotel have recently opened a "state of the art" Wellness centre including sauna, steambath, massage, beautician and relaxation area.
