Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 We travel north through Germany, to Denmark and Copenhagen for the night. (B,D)
Day 3 Stockholm - To Stockholm, one of Europe's prettiest capital cities, for a brief visit before our overnight sailing to Finland. (B,D)
Day 4 Helsinki - Arrive in Turku, then to Helsinki for an included visit. Surrounded by 315 islands, Helsinki's east-meets-west culture contrasts against the clean lines of Finlandia Hall and the rich golden onion dome of Uspenski Cathedral. Why not join our optional sightseeing tour? Overnight in Jyvaskla. (B,D)
Day 5 To Rovaniemi for the night. (B,D)
Day 6 Tankavarra Gold Museum - We cross the Arctic Circle at the Santa Claus Village and continue north through Finnish Lapland to Tankavarra Gold Museum. Continue to Saariselka fo an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 7 Sami Village; North Cape and the Midnight Sun - Visit the Sami village to learn about how they have been living by fishing and hunting, boat building and reindeer herding for thousands of years. At lunch time you can enjoy a Storgammon traditional lunch served in a special restaurant constucted of wood and resembling a tepee. Continue to Honningsvag for a two night stay. This evening, we have and included visit to the North Cape to see the Midnight Sun and Polar Ocean. The cliffs at North Cape are the closest you will come to the top of the world in mainland Europe! (B,D)
Day 8 Honningsvag; Fishing Villages excursion - Optional charming fishing hamlets and villages excursion to discover local customs. (B,D)
Day 9 Travel south to Storslett for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 10 To Tromso, lying at a latitude of nearly 70 degres north, the same as Alaska and Siberia. After free time we travel to Narvik for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 11 Through charming scenery to Mosjoen for the nigth. Explore the quaint wooden village, reminiscent of a bygone age. (B,D)
Day 12 South to Trondheim then to Hell for an overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 13 Oslo - To Oslo for the night. Enjoy an optional evening sightseeing tour of the Norwegian capital.(B,D)
Day 14 Copenhagen - Through Sweden to Copenhagen for a one-nights stay. Enjoy a short included orientation tour of the fascinating landmarks and beautiful architectural masterpieces, including the bronze statue of the Little Mermaid, taken from Hans Christian Andersen's fairytake, and the Rosenborg Palace, which is home to the Danish crown jewels. Day 15 En route home, we spend a night in Belgium. (B)
Day 16 We arrive in Calais for our return journey home. (B)

You will stay for one night each in the Scandic Hotel Sydhavnen, Copenhagen, or similar (outward and return); Sokos Hotel Alexandra, Jyvaskyla; Solos Hotel Vaakuna, Rovaniemi; Hotel Kieppi, Saariselka; Storslett Hotel, Storslett; the Quality Hotel Grand Royal, Narvik; Fru Haugans Hotel, Mosjoen; Rica Hell Hotel, Hell; Rica Helsfyr Hotel, Oslo; two nights at the Rica Hotel, Honningsvag and overnight on the cruise ferry from Stockholm to Turku, Finland, in a 2 berth cabin. Overnight stays in Belguim are in city-style hotels. Unless stated all hotels are 3-star standard.
