Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure then to our hotel in South Yorkshre for a three-night stay. (D)
Day 2 Peak District & Buxton - Our included full-day excursion takes us through the Peak District. We travel through picturesque contyside to the Ladybower reservoir for a photo stop before continuing to Castleton, where the semi-precious Blue John Stone is mined. Then to the spa resort of Buxton, the second highest town in England and known as 'The Capital of the Peak District'. (B,D)
Day 3 Chatsworth House and Peak District Villages - Included excursion to Chatsworth House, the 'Palace of the Peak', the seat of the Duke of Devonshire (entrance extra). Notable features in the grounds are the huge maze and cascade, where water rund down a number of stone steps. Next we head to the infamous village of Eyam, where the plague struck in 1665. Today you can see the churchyard, old cottages and monuments that tell its tragic story. We end our day in Bakewell, famous for its Bakewell Pudding which is still sold in the original 'Bakewell Pudding Shop'. (B,D)
Day 4 Matock Bath - We head to Matlock Bath, once described as 'Little Switzerland' by Byron. Visit the Heights of Abraham and perhaps take a cable car to the summit. Afterwards, we continue our journey back to your original joining point. (B)

You'll stay for three nights at the 3-star Holiday Inn Rotherham-Sheffield. The hotel has a lounge bar and restaurant, with leisure facilities including swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. All bedrooms have T.V., telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
