Your holiday itinerary 
Day 1 Local  departure by coach then to northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2 Continue to Lake Como for a six-night stay on an all-inclusive basis. (B,D)
Day 3 Lake cruise - Villa Carlotta and Balbianello - The best way to appreciate the beauty of Lake Como is by taking to the water. On this optional excursion you sail by private boat to Villa Carlotta and Villa del Balbianello, two of the lovliest villas on the lake, both set in magnificent gardens. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Milan - Included excursion to Milan to enjoy the world's most elegant shopping arcades. Our optional tour will introduce you to the Sforza Palace, Gothic Cathedral and La Scala Opera House. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands - Today's included excursion takes us first to the opulent resort town of Stresa, from where a boat will take you towards the famous islands. The islands lie at the centre of the lake and are fine examples of natural beauty enhanced by landscaped gardens and parks. On Isola Bella, visit the Palazzo Borromeo and its splendid gardens. (B,L,D)
Day 6 St. Moritz and Bernina Region Railway - Join our optional excursion to the world-famous resort of St. Moritz. From here you will join the Bernina Region Railway, the highest rail crossing of the Alps. Journey through the peaks and glaciers of the Bernina Alps. Don't forget your camera as we experience the fantastic sights from the Alpine wonderland to the palm trees of Italy. We rejoin our coach in Tirano for the journey back to Como. (B,L,D) In order to guarantee your place on the train, this trip must be purchased at the time of booking at a cost of £39 per person.
Day 7 Como Market and Lugano shopping - Optional excursion giving you a chance to buy those all-important presents for loved ones, with a full day's shopping experience. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Travel to northern France for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 9 Travel to Calais and return home. (B)

Your hotels
You'll stay for six-nights all-inclusive at the 3-star Hotel Britannia Excelsior in Cadenabbia. Enjoying a splendid setting facing the lake shore, with superb views across the lake to Bellagio, the hotel has a restaurant featuring buffet meals and show cooking, a large lounge area, bar, terrace, lifts and across the road its own lakeside lido area with outdoor pool (open subject to season) and bar (where a limited selection of drinks are available). All bedrooms have flat-screen T.V., telephone, hairdryer and ceiling fan. This large and lively hotel is managed and owned by the Whieldon family, who are on hand to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Room upgrades are available. Overnight stays in northern France will be in city-style hotels.
