Day 1 Local departure by coach, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Day 2 To Lake Garda for a six-night stay. (D)
Day 3 Winetasting - After a leisurely morning, join our optional afternoon excursion to sample the regional wines in one of the local cantinas togeher with home-made bread and local 'speck' ham. (B,D)
Day 4 Free day - Enjoy a leisurely day in resort or join our optional visit to Verona for the opera performance of Carmen. (B,D*)
Day 5 Verona and Opera - Visit the home of Romeo and Juliet and one of Italy's most ancient cities, ahead of tonight's included opera performance of Aida. (B,L)
Day 6 Venice - Today's included excursion takes us to the wonderful floating city of Venice. Enjoy the famous sights including St. Mark's Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Dodge's Palace. (B,D)
Day 7 Lake Garda - Join our optional excursion around Lake Garda seeing picturesque villages and a cruise from Sirmione, with views around the peninsula. (B,D)
Day 8 To Belgium for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 9 To Calais then return home. (B)

The Opera
A Gradinata D-E ticket is included for the performance of Aida. In addition, you can take in a second opera, Carmen (7th July departure) or Romeo & Juliet (23rd July departure), at a cost of £40, including Gradinata D-E ticket and transfers form Lake Garda. This must be reserved at the time of booking. Your night at the opera will begin with lunch in resort before travelling to Verona, where you'll have free time to enjoy the city. Upgrades are available for all operas, see below for details and prices.
Gradinate D-E - Included - Unnumbered seats on the upper stone steps* of the arena.
Gradinata Numerate Cantralle - Upgrade supplement of £70pp - Numbered, iron low-backed chairs* directly facing the stage.
Poltrone - Upgrade supplement of £90pp - Numbered, backed chairs* in second sector stalls and stand.
* Please note: cushions can be hired in the amphitheatre.

Your hotels
You will stay for six or eight nights at the 3-star Hotel Bristol in Riva del Garda. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lift and outdoor swimming pool. All bedrooms have T.V., haridryer, safe and telephone. Overnight stays in central Germany (12-day tour only) and Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
