Floriade is a magnificent World Horticultural Expo staged once every ten years in the Netherlands, attracting visitors from all over the world. It really is an event not to be missed!

Your holiday itinerary
Day 1 Local departure by coach then to the Dusseldorf area for a three or four-night stay.
Day 2 Floriade - Enjoy an included full-day visit to Floriade (with entrance included). Floriade 2012 is expected to attract around two million visitors from all over the world. Exhibitours from at least 25 countries work for many years to adorn the carefully landscaped gardens with exceptional displays and presentations. It is sure to be a day you'll never forget! (B)
Day 3 Cologne & Koblenz - Included excursion to the capital of the Rhineland, the lively city of Cologne. Explore the Old Town and visit the magnificent cathedral with its majestic spires standing proud. In the afternoon head to Koblenz which sits at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. (B)
Day 4 (5-day tour) Dusseldorf; Aachen - Included morning excursion to Dusseldorf whose Old Town, Altstadt quarter, is pedestrianised and a great place to begin your sightseeing, with many historical sites, boutiques, museums and tourist attractions. In the afternoon join our optional excursion to Aachen, which in he Middle Ages was the seat of emperors and kings. Its hot springs made this city, at the foot of the Eifel hills, the favourite residence of Charlemange, who built a palace here. (B)
Day 4 (4-day tour) Day 5 (5-day tour) Travel to Calais and return home. (B)

Your hotel
You'll stay for three or four-nights at the 4-star Best Western Grand City Hotel Dusseldorf Mettmann. The hotel has a restaurant and lounge/bistro, and a lift. All bedrooms have a T.V., telephone and hairdryer. The hotel is situated approximately 50 miles from Floriade.
