Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 UK - Dubrovnik Make your way to your chosen UK airport in time for your flight to Dubrovnik. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Hotel Ivka or similar (3*), and have the rest of the day at leisure. (D)
Day 2 Dubrovnik to Piltvice National Park We depart Dubrovnik this morning, and begin journeying northwards. Firstly we head to Omiö, where there will be free time, and the opportunity to join an optional boat cruise on the Omiö Gorge, formed by the River Cetina. From Omiö, we continue north to reach the spectacular Plitvice National Park, named as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979, and consisting of sixteen turquoise lakes with magnificent waterfalls connecting them, that stretches for eight kilometres and are surrounede by forest (some walking is necessary to fully explore this national park). We head to the Hotel Macola nearby for dinner and an overnight stay (3*). (B,D)
Day 3 Plitvice National Park to Istrian Peninsular Enjoy the morning at leisure in the Plitvice National Park, before we head west back towards the coast, and the stunning Istrian Peninsular, for the next two nights. Heavily influenced by its connections to Venice and the Venetian style, the Istrian peninsular is a beautiful area benefiting from superb natural beauty and stunning coastline, and beautiful old Venetian port towns. We stay at the Hotel Pollux in Rabac (3*). (B,D)
Day 4 Pula, Rovinj & Porec We spend a full day exploring the wonderful Istrian peninsular. From the harbour and Roman ruins of Pula, we continue to Rovinj, a delightful resort on the Adriatic. We move on to historic Porec, home to a magnificent basilica with beautiful gold mosaics, and where you can watch the boats come and go in the harbour, or take a stroll through the quaint old quarter. (B,D)
Day 5 Istrian Peninsular to Split We depart the Istrian peninsular today, and begin to head south. We make our way to Zadar, which has a picturesque harbour and the impressive St Donat’s Church. The streets of the quaint old town are a pleasure to explore, and the town is famous for making music, with its unique sea organ – an architectural device that makes music by way of the sea waves! From Zadar, we continue to Split, where on arrival we enjoy time to explore the city, taking in such highlights as the Diocletian Palace, and the majestic cathedral. We overnight at the Hotel Marjan or similar in the city (3*). (B,D)
Day 6 Split to Dubrovnik We make our way to the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, Dubrovnik, a breathtaking walled city which is picturesquley set between the sparkling Adriatic and the Dinaric Alps. Upon arrival in the city, enjoy an included city tour, before heading to our hotel for the next two nights, the Hotel Ivka or similar (3*). (B,D)
Day 7 Dubrovnik A day at leisure in one of Europe’s most attractive cities. The old town dates back to the 13th century, and is remarkably unchanged. It is completely encircled by walls, with just two entrances in to the city, both leading to the main promenade, the Stradun. Within the city there are many fascinating monuments that you may wish to explore, including the Franciscan monastery,the Rector’s Palace, and a stunning cathedral. (B,D)
Day 8 Dubrovnik to UK Transfer to Dubrovnik airport in time for your chosen flight back to the UK, with many memories of the highlights of Croatia. (B)
