Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Dover, Calais, then to our overnight hotel in the Nemours area.
Day 2 A drive south through France to Mariganane just outside Marseille, our base for the next seven nights.
Days 3 to 8 A chance to relax, settle into your new surroundings and explore this wonderful area of Provence. The Hotel Pullman Marseille offers a wonderful base to discover the area and extensive public areas where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine.
Day 9 We drive back north through France to the Champagne area in the north east for our overnight stay.
Day 10 We drive north to Calais, for our crossing to Dover, then home.

Included excursions
Arles and the Carmargue. The city of Arles is the gateway to the untamed land of the Carmargue, land of gypsies. On the banks of the Rhone, Arles was once a metropolis of Roman Gaul all of which can be seen through the impressive arena where bullfights are still held. The Carmargue, western Europe's largest river delta, is an area of natural beauty, where the long roads cross marshes, farmland and grain fields all teaming with wildlife.
Avignon, Pont du Gard & Uzes. Today we visit the fortified city of Avignon, full of history and the magnificent 14th century Palace of the Popes. We then drive to Pont du Gard, which literally means "bridge of the guard", a majestic aqueduct built by the Romans around the 1st century AD to carry water to nearby Nimes. We complete the day with a visit to the pretty Uzes.
Scenic coastal drive. A scenic drive along the glorious coastline enjoying some of the prettiest villages in the region including colourful Cassis and maritime Toulon.
