Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 UK to Paris To Dover and across to Calais, we then continue down to Paris for our overnight stay.
Day 2 Paris to Venice to Paris Gare de Lyon Station for the TGV train to Milan, a journey of approximately seven hours. Our coach will meet us in Milan, and then we continue our journey across Italy through the plains of the Veneto, to the outskirts of Venice for dinner and a two night stay at the Hotel Albatross (4*). Day 3 Venice enjoy a day at leisure in the wonderful city of Venice, ‘Queen of the Adriatic’, and discover some of the many wonderful treasures of this city, such as St Marks Square, the Doge’s Palace, the romantic Bridge of Sighs, and the famous Rialto Bridge. Join our optional Venice Cruise to discover the city from its many fascinating canals. (B,D)
Day 4 Venice to Pisa & Lucca to Incisa Leaving Venice behind, we journey to possibly the most gracious Tuscan town, Lucca, which is set inside a ring of Renaissance walls. Then on to Pisa and its astounding Leaning Tower, and ‘Field of Miracles’. We travel on to Incisa,  13Km south of Florence, for our overnight stay at the Hotel I Ciegli (3*). (B,D)
Day 5 Florence to Chianciano After breakfast, we travel in to Florence for a days sightseeing in this marvellous city. Enjoy an included city tour in the morning, taking in highlights such as the Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo, and the Ponte Vechhio. After a day in Florence, we travel on to Chianciano in the south of Tuscany, to the Hotel Mizar where we stay for the next three nights (3*). (B,D)
Day 6 Assisi Today we enjoy the hilltop town made famous by St Francis, journeying through glorious Tuscan countryside to reach   Assisi. Enjoy time to explore independently, or join an optional city tour. The Basilica of St Francis is one of the greatest monuments to thirteenth and fourteenth century Italian art. (B,D)
Day 7 Rome Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the ‘Eternal City’ (mostly on foot) before an afternoon at leisure, perhaps re-visit some of your personal favourites - the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, or the Spanish Steps; or simply relax in one of the many pavement cafés. There is arguably more to see in Rome than any other city in the world, with relics of a continouous two thousand-plus years of population. The atmosphere is unique, and you will not forget this wonderful city in a hurry. (B,D)
Day 8 Chianciano to Siena to Milan Leaving Chianciano behind, we journey to the Tuscan treasure of Siena, one of the greatest medieval hilltop towns of Italy. Enjoy the shell shaped Campo - possibly the most famous square in Italy, the wonderful striped marble cathedral, and the labrynth of narrow winding streets and alleys. We continue our journey northwards to Milan, where we spend the night in the pleasant Navigli district, at the Hotel Nikken Milano (4*). (B,D)
Day 9 Milan to Paris This morning, we transfer to Milan station, to board our TGV train back to Paris. Sit back and enjoy the views as we pass through the Alps. On arrival to Paris, we will be met by our coach, and transferred to our overnight hotel in Northern France. (B,D)
Day 10 N. France to UK After breakfast, we head to Calais for the crossing to Dover, and then home with memories of this astounding country. (B)
