Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 UK to Paris - Dover, Calais, then to Paris for our overnight stay.
Day 2 Paris to Venice - A journey on the TGV train to Milan, before a coach trip across Italy through the plains of the Veneto to the outskirts of Venice for dinner and two nights at the 4* Hotel Albatross. (B,D)
Day 3 Venice - A free day for you to explore this wonderful city at your leisure, after a guided walking tour. Some of the many wonderful memorable sights of the "Queen of the Adriatic" inclusing bustling St Mark's Square, the Doge’s Palace, the romantic Bridge of Sighs and the famous Rialto Bridge. An optional cruise along the city's many canals is also offerd. (B,D)
Day 4 Venice to Pisa and Incisa - A journey to the striking city of Pisa and the famous leaning tower, Knights' Square, many churches and museums. We then travel to Incisa, south of Florence for one night at the 3* Hotel I Ciegli. (B,D)
Day 5 Florence to Chianciano - A day sightseeing in the wonderful city of Florence, where a guided walking tour is included, and its sights such as Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio. We then head to the south of Tuscany and the 3* Hotel Mizar (or similar), our base for three nights. (B,D)
Day 6 Assisi and Siena - A chane to explore the hilltip Umbrian town and birthplace of St Francis, founder of the Franciscan religous order here in the 13th century. We also visit the historic city of Siena. Optional walking tours are offered in both locations. (B,D)
Day 7 Rome - A guided tour of the ‘Eternal City’ takes in all the main sights, before leaving the afternoon free for you to explore at your leisure. From the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum, to the impressive Vatican City and Spanish Steps, the amount of amazing sights in this wonderful city is endless. (B,D)
Day 8 Chianciano to Milan - Today we travel to the cosmopolitan city of Milan. Free time is offered, or join a guided city tour. Shop 'til you drop or discover the wonderful ancient cathedral. We spend a night at the 4* AS Hotel, Lomazzo on the outskirts of the city. (B,D)
Day 9 Milan to Paris - A morning transfer to Milan station for the TGV train back to Paris, passing through the spectacular scenery of the Alps. In Paris your coach will take you to your overnight hotel in Northern France. (B,D)
Day 10 Northern France to UK - Calais, Dover, and then home. (B)
