Holiday itinerary
Day 1 Dover, Calais and then on to our overnight hotel.
Day 2 A drive through France into Switzerland to arrive at our overnight hotel 3*, on the shores of the beautiful Lake Lucerne.
Day 3 We travel into Italy, through lovely Tuscan and Umbrian countryside to our overnight hotel in Cannara, the Hotel Hortensis 3*.
Day 4 Travelling through more of the picturesque Umbrian scenery we reach the resort of Sorrento for six nights at the centrally located Hotel Cesare Augusto 4*.
Days 5 to 9 The bustling resort of Sorrento is one of Italy’s best holiday resorts, with its narrow winding alleyways, relaxed atmosphere and fantastic shopping, all close to the sea. The Marina Grande area is ideal for a stroll and you’ll definitely want to try a limoncello, the local lemon liqueur, as you soak up the Mediterranean sunshine.
Day 10 A drive to the Eternal City and a chance to explore some of the amazing iconic sights focusing on the Vatican City there is much to be discovered. Our overnight hotel, the 4* Hotel Nova Domus, is ideally located in the heart of this magical city.
Day 11 Continuing north along the scenic coastal road for an overnight stay at the Holiday Inn in Genoa.
Day 12 Crossing the border, we head to the beautiful Alsace region of France and Annecy for our overnight stop in the Annecy area at the Comfort Hotel Mandallaz or similar.
Day 13 A drive to reach the French capital for the evening, which is surely the perfect time for exploring this romantic city. Dinner is not included tonight so that you can take the opportunity to sample some of the cuisine for which Paris is renowned. We then head to our overnight hotel on the outskirts of the city.
Day 14 Calais, Dover, then home.

Amalfi Coast - A scenic excursion along this stunning stretch of coastline provides breathtaking views of the magnificent scenery, including the crystal blue waters, cliffs, coves and golden beaches, and picturesque Positano, with its colourful buildings that tumble down to the sea below. We visit the main town along the coastline, Amalfi, from where you can join an optional cruise to see the scenery from a completely different perspective.
